What exactly is Answer Anywhere?

Answer Anywhere is a cloud-based business phone system for solo entrepreneurs and small businesses. You get a dedicated local or toll-free business number, a professional auto-attendant, voicemail to email, business hours routing, and a softphone app for your iPhone or Android. We personally set the whole thing up for you on a Zoom call.

Who is Answer Anywhere for?

Answer Anywhere is built for solo entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners who want to sound professional without paying enterprise prices. If you're currently using your personal cell number for business, this is for you. We also serve growing businesses that need multiple extensions, call queues, and a more robust phone presence.

Do you serve businesses outside Canada?

Yes. We provide local phone numbers and service across both Canada and the USA. Whether you need a Toronto area code or a New York number, we have you covered.

What does "white-glove setup" mean?

It means we do everything for you. After you sign up and choose your number, we schedule a 30-minute Zoom call where we configure your auto-attendant, set your business hours, record or generate your greeting, and install the softphone app on your phone together. You don't need any technical knowledge. You just show up and answer calls.

Is 911 / emergency services available?

No. Answer Anywhere does not support 911 or emergency services. Our VoIP service is not a replacement for traditional telephone service. You must maintain a separate means of contacting emergency services such as a mobile phone or landline at all times. Please review our Terms of Service for full details.

What app do I use to make and receive calls?

We install a softphone app on your iPhone or Android during your setup call. You can also make and receive calls from any web browser on your laptop or desktop. Your personal number is never shown to callers.

How does the auto-attendant work?

When someone calls your business number they hear a professional greeting you choose, followed by a menu like "Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Support." Even on the Starter plan with one extension, all options route to you. Callers experience a Fortune 500 company phone system. They have no idea it's just you.

How does voicemail to email work?

Every missed call that goes to voicemail triggers an email to your chosen address. The email includes the caller's number, the audio recording of the voicemail, and a text transcript. You never need to dial in to check messages.

Can I keep my existing business number?

Yes. Number porting is available as a white-glove service for $59. We manage the entire porting process and keep you updated throughout. During the porting period your old number continues to work normally.

How long does setup take?

Most clients are live within 24 hours of signing up. We schedule a 30-minute Zoom setup call, configure everything together, and you leave the call already answering calls professionally.

Do I need any special hardware or equipment?

No. All you need is your existing smartphone or computer and an internet connection. If you want a physical desk phone we offer those separately through our Devices page.

Can I scale up to more extensions as my team grows?

Yes. Our platform scales from a solo entrepreneur on the Starter plan all the way to a 100-agent call center. Adding extensions is a white-glove change request at $59. You can also upgrade your plan at any time.

How much does Answer Anywhere cost?

Our Starter plan is $29 CAD per month and includes everything a solo entrepreneur needs. Our Business plan is $69 CAD per month for growing businesses needing more extensions and numbers. Enterprise pricing is custom. All plans include white-glove setup and no setup fees.

Are there any contracts or commitments?

No contracts, no commitments, no cancellation fees. We bill month to month and you can cancel anytime. We earn your business every single month.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Payments are processed securely and your card details are never stored on our servers.

What happens if my payment fails?

Stripe automatically retries failed payments over 7 days and sends you email reminders to update your card. If payment is not received after 7 days your service will be suspended. Once payment is made service is restored immediately.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel anytime through the client support portal. Your service continues until the end of your current billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial months.

What happens to my number when I cancel?

Your number is released back to available inventory at the end of your billing period. If you want to keep your number you can port it out to another provider before cancelling. Number porting is a $59 white-glove service.

Are there extra charges for local calls?

Local calling within Canada and the USA is included in your monthly plan. Long distance and international calls are disabled by default and billed at standard rates. Please see our page on international rates.
